Avaqyn Acres Rebrand | Client’s Dogs | Anoka MN

The totally awesome Tiffany of Avaqyn Acres and I recently coordinated for a batch of images for her upcoming rebrand (to AQ9 I believe). This meant I was introduced to an equally awesome batch of her clients and their dogs. 10 dogs performed recalls, various tricks and posed on Wednesday evening while 13 dogs made a very very very early morning appearance for recalls in the woods and a jaunt through downtown Anoka.

From Wednesday:

From the Saturday early morning:

New year, new things!

Welcome to the new year!

First, I want to say thank you to each and every person (and dog!) that was part of About A Dog Photography’s story in 2016. From amazing clients (Cabo & Theo, Piper & Moses, Tammy & Polar, Eli & Margot, Chloe, Rex & Ross, Coco & Gigi, Abbie, JC, Josie & Farley, Louie & Oliver, Jake and Scout & Parka), to helping Grey Face Rescue find new homes for their adoptable dogs and all the support behind the scenes made 2016  a successful year for About A Dog Photography.

Let’s make 2017 even more grand!

New things for About A Dog Photography:

• Session fees will be changing Feb 1st, 2017. The  About A Dog session will be $250, the Mini Sessions will be $125, Seasonal Dog will be $450.
• Acrylic Wall Art & 1″ Acrylic Blocks – little & big pieces of awesome – perfect for showing off your dog’s personality!
• Digital images will be added into the mix of prints/products
• I’m partnering with a local vet to put prints on the walls – more details to come!
• There will be events throughout the year, from Mini Sessions to working with Filson Minneapolis, to Tri County Humane Society’s Companion Walk. Plus keep an eye out at silent auctions for a way to help the animals and snag an About A Dog Photography session!

Bender & Icey | Lake Koronis MN

The weather was gorgeous on Monday, so I snagged Bender & Icey and went traipsing around Lake Koronis. Our second stop was interrupted gently by a pair of Jehova’s Witnesses. Icey and I were read a scripture passage then, answered a couple questions and we were on our merry way to around the lake. Always the superstar, Icey did well then delighted in the fact that she got to go swimming! Bender was his typical stoic old man, though some youtubed random animal sounds caught his attention. And an adorable head tilt!

Springtime with my Gang | Central MN

Spring is finally hitting us here in central Minnesota, which mean green grass, blooming trees and dandelions! I snagged Icey & Bender for a quick morning shoot. Bender is my toughest model as he typically has other things to look at vs me. And if he happens to look at me, his ears are back and he looks like a bald old man! On the other hand, Icey is super easy esp if some sort of food or treats is involved!

Since Axle is a bit of a goober, I tend to like to do silly pictures with him. Which means treat/ball face. And drool.  (Icey also joined in)
