What will my About Your Dog Session look like?

Next, the Pre Session Consultation Call. We’ll talk about your dog, talk about details & images you want to create, locations you would like to visit (nature or urban or perhaps both?) and when you want your session to take place – spring, summer, fall or winter.

Your session date arrives! EEEEEEEEEEEK!

Don’t worry if I’m not super chatty, I’m scanning to find awesome spots to ask your dog to sit, stand or lay in.

Be prepared to stop frequently! I’ll direct you where I’d like your dog to be and which direction I will be photographing from. Hold on the leash and be prepared for a plethora of silly sounds coming your way. These could be any sounds but likely a mix of meows, turkey gobbles, buzzes, high eeks and barks or howls.

Pro tip: Inform me of catch words (squirrel, grandma, car, cookie/treat etc) your dog has. These words are going to be part of the secret sauce that helps me capture your dog’s attention.

The pace of your Digital Dog Session will be easy going with an ephasis on FUN! The more fun we make your session the more fun your dog will have and the more awesome his or her images will be!

If your dog doesn’t want to sit, don’t get grumpy! We’ll do a reset (walk away and back to the spot we picked) and ask again for a sit with ample luring (remember to bring your dog’s favorite smelly treats). If your dog NOPES out of sitting after a couple of requests, then we won’t push him or her farther and we will work with a stand or lay.

Anything we want your dog to do will always be an ask. If it happens HUZZAH! If not, HUZZAH!

Remember, we are keeping your session FUN!

Your About Your Dog Session continues in the same manner until the sun begins to wane and slip into the evening. We will have made multiple stops, captured LOADS of images brimming with your dog and his or her personality and had an EPIC amount of fun! We’ll stroll back to our cars, do show & tell of the prints & wall art and depart homeward.

Don’t worry if we don’t get to the full hour & half of time – most dogs tend to wrap up and head to the car around an hour, their minds on their cozy beds at home! And yes, there are pups that will keep going as the sun sets! If this is your pup, we’ll continue to capture images until we run out of light!

After your About Your Dog Session

The second part of the fun begins for me! All of your dog’s images will be loaded into my computer, a swoon over how awesome they are and then the culling begins. Blurry images are instantly out, similar images are weeded down to singles, debates about same poses happen until your gallery emerges.

Your About Your Dog Session will yield a gallery big & diverse enough for an album, wall art, and ample digital images. Gallery size will vary, though there will be at least 20 images to pick from.

Two weeks after your session you’ll receive an email, call or text from me – it’s time for your Gallery Reveal! EEEEEEK!

We’ll coordinate a time to meet via Skype, then go over your dog’s images. (You’ll get a link to their gallery to see the images at the same time.) Remember all the prints & products you met at the end of your session? Let’s get to creating artwork out of them! Pick your favorites to turn into giant pieces of wall art in acrylic, wood, canvas or epic framed prints, pick a plethora to pop into an album, choose the best to turn into dainty acrylic blocks and snag a few to turn into digital images.

After you order!

Huzzah! You’ve picked your favorites, assigned them to various products to bring them fully to life with.

Now the editing magic happens!

The removal of eye boogers, leashes, spare human body part and anything distracting will be removed. Thorough editing will polish each image so it is ready to be sent to the professional printing labs. Digital images will be delivered via Dropbox.

All prints & products arrive in my hands for inspection, then they are bundled up and headed home to you!
