Why a puppy session?

Because puppies grow very quickly! We get them as squishy, soft babies, who quickly sprout into gangly legged, big eared & pawed pups. They equally as quickly transition into year olds and look very much like adults. That span of a year goes quickly, though in the moment it seems to last forever when those little shark teeth just won’t stop chomping and the goofy puppy behavior drives us batty. But then whoosh, they are adult sized and all we have left to remember those squishy baby moments is pictures. 

When should we do our puppy’s sessions?

  • We recommend a session at 8 weeks or 10 weeks (2-4 months) at the latest for the first images of your new puppy. We understand the worry about your puppy not being fully vaccinated by the time of your session. If this is the case, we’ll have the first session at your home!
  • Session #2 is best at 5-6 months.
  • Session #3 can be when your dog is at least 1 year old. If we celebrate with one year images, we’ll have a cake smash too!

You didn’t get your puppy as a wee baby? No worries! We’ll do a 2 part session with the first session soon after your puppy and the second session around your puppy’s first birthday. If you got a puppy who is older than 6 months, we can still do a puppy series though the changes from 6+ months to a year won’t be quite as drastic.

Each puppy session will be up to an hour of time, your pup will set the pace for each!
