From the blog ring archive: Mastering the Art of Filling the Frame

Fill the frame is a classic rule of composition that takes your subject and uses them to fill the frame of image from edge to edge. Utilized its a grand way to show off eyes, or detail elements in the manner of paws, tails, and bums.  The 20mm lens often ends up employing fill the frame from treat loving pups. Sporting a minimum focus distance of 10.9″, this lens allows dogs to get MEGA close. Urban Photography | 52-Week Project Archive

About A Dog Photography in St. Cloud, St. Paul & Minneapolis MN |  52 Weeks is a blog circle with a theme for every week (which means we all link to each other, links are found at the end of the post). The weather held a wee touch of briskness on an adventure to downtown St. Cloud for the urban theme. Bender, the butt-head, was happily excited for a quick ride down to the grungy alleys of downtown. Architecture | 52-Week Project Archive

Its been solidly busy here at About A Dog Photography from the fall and start of the holiday season which means I missed a couple of weeks of the 52 Week Project. Drat! Luckily this past weekend had me downtown Minneapolis for a Dogs of MSP event at Lakes & Legends Brewery. Ample dogs to borrow and brews to drink. The model picked was a lanky, tall, part pony, mantle blue merle Great Dane named Cash. Its a whole other thing to work with a dog that is taller than you when you are kneeling! He was a star, granting
