What You’ll Get from a Short & Sweet Session

Short & Sweet Sessions are designed to be fast, fun, and full of personality — and the best part? You walk away with a small collection of stunning images of your pup in a mere 20 mins!

But don’t just take my word for it… here’s a peek at what past sessions have looked like.

Past Short & Sweets at Theo Wirth - Twin Cities

Theo Wirth is ginormous! I haven’t quite decided where we will be setting up but it could involve rustic trails through woods and marshy areas, the epic orange tree, a quaint bridge over a little creek, a sandy beach and moody wooded areas.

First time for Short & Sweets! Quarry Park - St. Cloud MN

Quarry Park just outside St. Cloud has loads of cool areas to explore. Granite quarries, open grassy areas and a floating wooden bridge – I LOVE the floating bridge!

2025 is the FIRST TIME EVER that I’m going to do Short & Sweets at Quarry Park!

*Note: there is a $5 fee to park that can ONLY be paid paid at the gate. Or get the annual for $25 and pop over to Quarry Park throughout the year! (The annual permit can be ordered online!)

How your Short & Sweet Session will go:

Arrive at the time you snagged, we will begin promptly!

Images commence:
– full body images in sit, stand or laying poses
– headshots from the shoulders up
– lookdown images (great with leaves on the ground)
– family portraits
– action
– creative leaf shots

20 mins will go by quickly! We’ll say our goodbyes and you’ll be anticipating the day your viewing gallery arrives. (It will be roughly two weeks!)

What if...

  • My dog won’t sit still?
    •  They might not and that’s totally ok! We will work their personality, whether they’re wiggly, shy or zoomie prone!

  • The session is too short?
    • You’ll be surprised that we can capture just enough magic in 20 minutes. There will be enough time to land a petite gallery in your hands brimming with a variety of images and your pup’s personality.

  • The weather goes to shit?
    • Weather can go to shit rather quickly – if it seems rain is in the forecast for the evening we’ll bump the Short & Sweets to the following day (Sundays – October 12th & 19th). If it happens to snow, we will carry on and embrace the flakes + fall colors. (Hopefully it won’t but it could happen!)

  • There are no fall colors?
    • It could happen, though odds are slim. If we get an early frost colors will peak and peter off before the Short & Sweet dates. If it happens, we’ll embrace the later season browns a bit earlier. If there is a heavy rain and loads of blustery wind that knocks the trees naked, then we will aim for golden grasses and piles of leaves vs boldly colored trees.
These sessions are quick, fun, and limited — don’t wait! Reserve your Short & Sweet session before the leaves (and spots) disappear.
