The theme for this week was happy. I met up with the wonderful Gillian and Maple in downtown Minneapolis to do some big city urban scouting. Gillian is a founding member of the awesome group and community Dogs of MSP and I’ve met the lovely Miss Maple a ton of times so it was a treat to do more of a “formal” session. Looking Back: Urban Scenes from the 52 Week Blog Ring

Urban. Meaning: in, relating to, or characteristic of a city or town. To me this means tall buildings of brick, sprawling landscapes with various houses and people arranged in close quarters. Not quite where I call home. As luck would have it, the Dogs of MSP were planning a meet up at Flat Earth Brewing Company in St. Paul. Dogs of MSP (MSP = Minneapolis/St. Paul) is a group of dog owners who meet up at local dog parks, businesses and breweries as well help each other out with training, treats and food and general dog questions. Molly & Fred | St. Cloud

The rain threatened to unleash on us during Molly & Fred session downtown St. Cloud in 2013. Molly the petite springer spaniel rocked the classic downtown alley while Fred the golden retriever was a super star on the red of the St. Cloud Floral wall (this wall is going to be blocked by an upcoming condo being built). Since the rain hadn’t kicked up, we scooted out to Sand Prairie, snagged a couple of shots and wrapped up just before the downpour began!

Louis | St. Paul, MN

(Curious about all of the tossbacks / throwbacks? There was a spiffy website platform change & major update.The older blogs did not make the transition. Luckily they are too awesome not to re-share!) As mentioned on Tuesday, Maebe’s session was a location exchange with Eva Noth Photography. Prior to cavorting around downtown St. Cloud, Eva and I met in 2014 in St. Paul to photograph the wonderful Louis! He was quite the charmer! Plus the St. Paul area is stunning! Need to adventure that way more often!

Maebe | St. Cloud MN

Tossback to Aug 9th (which happens to be my birthday!), the year 2014. The setting, downtown St. Cloud MN, with an aussie/poodle mix puppy, Maebe. I was accompanied by Eva of Eva Noth Photography as a part of a location swap (she’s from the Twin Cities, we had photographed Louis prior in St. Paul). I had a blast showing Eva to my favorite downtown St. Cloud photography sites! Plus Maebe was a wonderful model! Who doesn’t love a merle colored coat?
